Hair transplant options
A wider area spreads the same number of hairs more thinly. Both sides use the same short hair length so you can compare coverage.
Hair count, not graft count. One graft can contain several hairs. Illustrative coverage on a fictional model. The chosen count is a visual comparison, not a recommended transplant amount or a prediction of growth, density or suitability.

Compare the back of the scalp where hair is taken, as well as the area receiving it.
Individual follicular units are removed, leaving small round scars.
Compare small FUE crusts with the sutured FUT line.
A fixed example independent of your hair count. Individual hairs do not determine extraction-hole count or incision length here. Short hair stays fixed for comparison; marks, colors and dates do not predict your scars or healing.
Harvest and recovery sources
ISHRS describes crusts in FUE donor areas. NHS guidance gives around 10–14 days for removal of non-dissolvable stitches. Follow your surgical team's care and removal instructions.
Hair count and graft count are different
This tool counts individual illustrated hairs. Transplants move grafts, which can contain more than one hair; there is no fixed conversion from hairs to grafts. The NHS describes grafts containing 1–4 hairs in FUT. A clinic’s written quote should state which unit it uses.
The six patterns and three area sizes are visual examples, not a diagnosis or a Norwood/Ludwig grade. The available counts are comparison settings. A clinician assesses the cause of hair loss, donor supply, scalp area and hair characteristics to plan an individual treatment. Choose straight, wavy or coily short strands and five colors to compare the same hair count. These are display examples, not a reconstruction of your hairstyle or donor area.
