FOREHEAD, BROWS & TEMPLES · ILLUSTRATED 3D RECOVERY
Eyebrow Transplant: before & after and recovery stages
Compare sparse brows with short implanted hairs, a shedding interval and later growth.

SUMMARY
What this example shows
A fictional sparse-brow reference keeps the same native hairs at every stage. Added short shafts and small surface marks give way to a sparse interval, then gradual illustrative growth along the brow. The later example is shown trimmed. Brow position and the scalp hairstyle stay fixed; graft survival, donor scars and individual density are not calculated.
STAGE BY STAGE
Eyebrow Transplant recovery stages
Before treatment
This example starts with fictional sparse brows. The same native hairs remain while added strands shed and grow.
First week: Short hairs & small crusts
Small surface marks surround the added short strands.
Temporary scabs and local swelling can occur after eyebrow transplantation.
Around 2 months: Sparse interval
Many added shafts are no longer visible; the original sparse hairs remain.
Transplanted shafts can shed before new growth appears. This sparse interval is an illustration.
Around 6 months: Growth developing
New strands gradually fill the same brow outline.
Regrowth takes months and varies between people.
Around 1 year: Later trimmed-brow example
The brows look fuller, with hairs following the skin surface.
The later view is groomed: scalp donor hairs may need regular trimming.

INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES
How recovery can vary
Timing and response
The sparse starting brows are fictional. Native hairs stay fixed throughout this example; strand numbers and lengths do not predict graft survival or personal density.
Longer term
Direction, texture and ongoing trimming affect the later appearance. Donor-site healing, scars and the need for another session require individual assessment.
EVIDENCE NOTES
Sources and limitations
- Cleveland Clinic: Eyebrow transplant
Temporary scabs and swelling, shaft shedding after the early weeks and regrowth over months. The displayed dates and density are authored examples.
- ASPS: The ins and outs of brow restoration
Individual eyebrow hairs lie close to the skin; direction matters. Scalp donor hair may need regular trimming.
