NOSE · ILLUSTRATED 3D RECOVERY
Rhinoplasty: before & after and recovery stages
Watch early nasal fullness and under-eye bruising give way to slower contour refinement.
Also called nose job

SUMMARY
What this example shows
This example starts with a lower bridge and a wider, less projecting tip, then illustrates increased projection and narrowing. Early swelling broadens the nose; bruising is shown around the eyes. Residual tip swelling fades on a separate, longer clock.
STAGE BY STAGE
Rhinoplasty recovery stages
Lower bridge and wider tip
The fictional starting nose has a lower bridge and a wider, less projecting tip.
The same starting shape and face settings are retained throughout the comparison; only the illustrated treatment and recovery change.
First few days: Early nasal response
Nasal fullness and under-eye discoloration overlap the changed contour.
Optional external support is shown before day 7 in this example; it can be hidden to inspect the skin.
Around 1 month: More contour appears
After the example splint removal, less fullness makes the bridge and tip easier to distinguish.
Residual swelling can continue even when the early bruising has faded.
Around 1 year: Later nasal contour
The bridge and tip are easier to compare with little early fullness left.
This one-year picture is an authored comparison, not an individual recovery deadline.
TIMELINE
Day-by-day checkpoints in the 3D model
The simulator interpolates between these authored checkpoints. They describe the illustration, not measured clinical averages.
The fictional starting nose has a lower bridge and a wider, less projecting tip.
An external splint and paper tape cover the bridge in the early-dressing view; swelling partly obscures the remaining contour.
Nasal swelling and under-eye bruising are emphasized in this illustrative early stage.
Bruising begins to change color in the example; the nose still looks fuller than its later contour.
The eye-area color fades before the nasal tip finishes settling.
Less swelling reveals more of the example bridge and tip profile.
The tip can continue changing after obvious early bruising has gone.
Rhinoplasty can take a year or longer to settle. This endpoint is an illustration, not a promised completion date.
INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES
How recovery can vary
Timing and response
Technique, the amount of structural change and individual tissue response affect timing. Morning swelling can fluctuate; recovery is not always a smooth decline.
Longer term
Refinement can continue for a year. A one-month appearance is not the final result.
