EYELIDS · ILLUSTRATED 3D RECOVERY
Epicanthoplasty (Inner Corner): before & after and recovery stages
Compare an illustrative inner-corner fold with its later outline as local fullness recedes.

SUMMARY
What this example shows
An illustrative skin fold covers part of each inner eye corner. As local swelling eases, the fold becomes less prominent and more of the inner corner appears. Upper-lid height, outer corners and eyeballs stay fixed. Incisions and tear drainage are not reconstructed.
STAGE BY STAGE
Epicanthoplasty (Inner Corner) recovery stages
Before treatment
The unchanged display face provides a reference for this example.
First few days: Inner-corner fullness
Swelling partly hides the changed fold in this example.
Early swelling can affect the inner corners.
Around 1 month: Inner edge clearer
The fold covers less of the inner corner in this view.
The published cohort includes a one-month scar assessment.
Around 3 months: Later outline
Less early color makes the inner edge easier to compare.
Scar appearance may still change over months.
Around 6 months: Later comparison
The inner outline remains; the outer corner and central lid height stay fixed.
A six-month assessment is not a universal healing deadline.
TIMELINE
Day-by-day checkpoints in the 3D model
The simulator interpolates between these authored checkpoints. They describe the illustration, not measured clinical averages.
The unchanged display face provides a reference for this example.
Local fullness partly obscures the changed fold.
The inner corners look puffy in this example.
Less fullness reveals the changed inner edge.
The illustrated color decreases while some fullness remains.
The example fold covers less of the inner corner.
The new inner outline remains as early swelling fades.
This endpoint does not establish complete healing or a scar-free outcome.
INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES
How recovery can vary
Timing and response
Every model starts from an authored fold, independent of regional identity. Anatomy and technique affect the actual change; the slider is not a millimeter measurement.
Longer term
Scars, asymmetry and recurrent folds can remain. The model does not predict these outcomes, tear drainage or a need for revision.
